Sad Story, Great Picture!
Midtown Memphis - When Vernon Roberts, an independent contractor, jumped out of his Chevy Suburban to speak to the owner of a home he was working on, the man at the left (allegedly) jumped into his vehicle and took off.  But not before Vernon managed to get a firm grip of the passenger door.  The Perp then tried to throw Vernon off the truck by weaving violently back and forth.  He even tried scraping Vernon off against a pole.  Finally, the Perp flipped the truck sending Vernon 20-30 feet into the air.   He landed in the middle of busy Poplar Avenue and was severely injured. 

The good news (besides that the Perp was caught), was that when the truck flipped, he was covered in white mortar.  The mortar then began to harden as he ran sweating through Midtown.  To say the least, he was easy to spot.
