This probably SEEMED like the perfect Halloween smuggling strategy.
Yesterday, a woman showed up at the Montreal Trudeau International Airport in Canada carrying three small pumpkins in her luggage. Why WOULDN'T you fly with pumpkins on Halloween, right?
Only when airport security was searching her luggage, the pumpkins seemed remarkably heavy . . . so they decided to X-ray them. And it turned out these pumpkins had been hollowed out . . . and filled with COCAINE.
The pumpkins contained a total of about two kilos of cocaine . . . that's about 4.4 pounds, and has a street value of at least $40,000.
There's no word where the woman was flying to. She's now in police custody.
