Join Rock 103 and the local Latin Community as we honor our passed loved ones at several local Day of the Dead (Dia de Muertos) Celebrations. NOT a Halloween party but a traditional Latin cultural celebration of life that includes music, art, dance and theater and much more. In addition, the ofrendas (alters) which are assembled to honor the dead are spectacular! Don't miss out!
Check out details below of several celebrations happening around town.
Talk about awesome! Check out this video of Graham Burks from Memphis own Perfect Vessels and his three year old son covering The Clash's "Should I Stay or Should I Go"! The Clash even shared it from its facebook page! #memphismade
Memphis Music Legend Buddy Church has played with everyone from Tammy Wynette to Black Oak Arkansas to Jerry Lee Lewis. Considered to be one of the best guitar pickers around these parts, Buddy has earned the respect of countless musicians near and far. If you're a local musician, chances are you've even bought gear from him at our local Guitar Center-always the most helpful guy there. Unfortunately, Buddy's health has taken a turn for the worse as his cancer has returned. The Memphis Music Community will rally on Sunday, November 17th at Neil's Music Room for a benefit in Buddy's honor. Please mark your calendar to come out and show your support and if you can't make it please make a donation here: http://www.gofundme.com/4m0evw.
Let's all come together to help Buddy out in his time of need!
