Weekday mornings at 7:15
Join us weekday mornings for a little comedy.
Very little. :-)
We'll feature short comedy clips from America's Stand-out Stand-up comedians to get your day started. Enjoy! And no heckling, please. :-)
*Caution: Sudden unexpected laughter can cause you to spew your morning coffee right out of your nose in unlikely places...like in the middle of rush hour traffic. We assume no responsibility if this happens.
There's an old saying that goes something like: If you don't like the weather in Memphis, wait around a few minutes. It'll change."
That certainly seems to be what's happened in the last few days. We went from Sunny 72 degree picnic weather to a 2 day monsoon, directly into sleet and freezing rain.
I've always thought that the mad rush to the grocery store for milk and bread whenever anything frozen is forecast is somewhat unnecessary. If it turns out to be an ice storm, chances are you're going to lose power anyway, and all the stuff in the fridge will go bad before power is restored. And if you were to get snowed in for a few days, chances are the last thing you're going to want to do is sit around eating bread and drinking milk. I'm thinking that in such a situation, beer might be helpful. :-)
In any event, we've got you covered for the latest info on cancellations and closings due to the weather. We've teamed up with our sister station News Radio 600 and our news partner Action News 5 to provide real-time updates on early closings, late openings, and weather related cancellations and closings for schools and business.
